Toll Building, Hornby, Christchurch

Date: June – July 2016

Client: What Ever It Takes 2003 Ltd

Contractor: BBR Contech

An existing warehouse in Anchorage Road Hornby was in the process of being vacated by logistics company Toll NZ prior to new tenants Linfox moving in. The building owner and new tenant had identified a number of locations where the existing conventionally reinforced floor slab concrete had broken up and spalled, particularly in traffic aisles and adjacent to doorways.

BBR Contech were engaged to sawcut to a square edge, breakout to full slab depth, dowel and reinstate with Sika Fastfix 125 rapid set high strength cementitious repair compound and cure.

Repairs were carried out in two stages in order to accommodate Toll’s access and operational requirements in high traffic areas.
