Sewper Liner is a special calcium aluminate solution that protects concrete elements of newly built wastewater infrastructure from the most severe H2S biogenic corrosion, providing ultimate durability over the long term.
Unlike epoxy or polymer liners that often start to fail after only a few years, Sewper Liner can provide decades of protection. It has been specifically designed to achieve long-lasting protection on the dry, flat and smooth walls of new concrete structures and pipelines, with virtually no preparation required, and minimal curing time.
Long-term protection can be achieved quickly and easily, at a fraction of the cost of future repairs.
SewperCoat has been available in New Zealand for a number of years, and is designed to repair and protect existing wastewater infrastructure. Sewper Liner is a radically innovative formulation of the product which allows it to be used on newly built assets.
Sewper Liner is three to five times thinner than SewperCoat, so won’t compromise the hydraulic capacity of wastewater assets. It also provides excellent protection against H2S attack for up to 30 years. The thinner formulation allows for spray application with minimal preparation, greatly reducing the cost of application and ensuring speedy application to larger surfaces.
Prevention is always better than cure, and this is particularly true with our water infrastructure. A small investment when the asset is built provides long-term protection, freeing up decades’ worth of maintenance funds for other uses.
Sewper Liner is a certified Imerys Pioneer product. This means it provides the highest environmental contribution to the downstream value chain, whilst demonstrating a low environmental impact in its production phase compared to its economic value. Pioneer is Imerys’ highest sustainability rating denoting products and services with an outstanding sustainability performance compared to the reference solutions in the market.
