As part of the development of the former Placemakers site off Richmond’s Queen Street by Gibbons Construction “The Warehouse” the national retailer, has opened a  new 3500-square-metre store.

BBR Contech worked closely with Conslab to deliver the floor slab for this new store. The slab was  designed as a 150mm PT slab 56.05m x 42.85 using BBR CF405 Flat anchorages. The PT slab design parameters applicable to this slab were ground conditions achieving a CBR of 5%, slab racking post loads of 20kN, with provision for forklift axle loads of 60kN. The slab was set up and constructed in one pour.
