NZ Express the largest road transport carrier of containers out of Lyttelton Port required a new distribution warehouse near the port due to their continual growth. Kennaway Drive located in the Christchurch suburb of Woolston  was chosen as the ideal location for this new warehouse.

KCL Engineering Services designed a 150mm PT slab 43m x 46.5m with tendons spacing at 2.1m and 2.3m centres using BBR CF405 Flat anchorages. BBR installed the post tensioned system for this slab. The 300m³ slab was poured in one day by Conslab and upon reaching 30MPa it was stressed to 80% UTS (147kN).
