Founded in Christchurch more than 90 years ago, Moffat designs, manufactures and exports a range of commercial food service products and equipment.
The Moffat Group decided to replace it’s quake—damaged plant in Philipstown with a new purpose built 15,000m² facility at the Izone Business Park, Rolleston just south of Christchurch.
Main Contractor, HRS Construction Ltd, secured the contract to build the new facility and BBR Contech were engaged as sub-contractor to design and post-tension the new floor slabs. The 150mm thick main factory floor area, 9,388m², was constructed over four pours, while the 200mm thick heavily loaded floor area, 2,464m², was completed in one pour. All slabs used the BBR CF405 system, with the main factory floor area utilising the BBR CF205 coupler system.
Almost 44 tonnes of 12.7mm super strand were used on this project along with 14km of flat duct.
