This project comprised the structural repair to eight bridges and culverts distributed over the Hauraki District as part of the repair programme for 2021/22.

The scope of work varied by structure:

• Crack injection to bridge hollowcore units
• Concrete repairs including major breakout and replacement of a bridge pier element and spall repairs
• Culvert invert repairs and watercourse clearing
• Kerb block replacement (precast and insitu)
• Bearing and joint replacement
• Minor steelwork repairs

The commencement of the work was significantly disrupted by Covid lockdowns but once this was cleared the team got stuck in and completed the work in a prompt and timely manner.
