The Grey District Council’s new wastewater treatment plant in Greymouth is designed to receive, treat and manage wastewater from Greymouth, Cobden, Karoro and surrounding areas.

As part of this upgrade a new Biological Trickling Filter tank was constructed by Hawkins Infrastructure being 27 metres diameter. BBR Contech were subcontracted for the post-tensioning of horizontal tendons in wall panels being 11 rings of 5 strands stressed through four pilaster panels.

BBR Contech supplied the Drossbach duct and the BBR CMI anchorages to the precaster then installed, stressed and grouted the tendons.
