The Waterloo Business Park is being developed on the site of the old Islington Freezing Works for industrial and commercial clients.
One of New Zealand’s largest logistics providers Fliway Group Ltd has constructed a new 6,500m² transport, warehousing and office building on a 1.5 hectare site in the Business Park which will be the company’s main South Island hub and accommodating 30 plus staff.
The project involved a Crossclock building over 1,511m² constructed as stage 1 earlier in the programme with the stage 2 warehouse over 4,930m² constructed as 150mm thick post-tensioned slabs on grade to support 3.5 tonne capacity forklifts and back to back racking with 54kN post loads.
