This new facility is part of a $20.7 million development of the old glassworks site located off Halswell Junction Road Hornby by Goodman NZ. DHL the logistics operator will occupy one of the new warehouses on this site. This new warehouse will provide 6,871m2 of office and warehouse space together with an extensive canopied yard.
BBR Contech designed and installed the post-tensioned floor. The slab was designed for a CBR of 3%, 70kN post racking loads and a 14 Tonne rated forklift. The 6,467m2 slab was set up with a temporary stopped end and poured over two consecutive days.
