Bascik Transport, a leading player in the logistics and transport sector, has expanded its existing footprint in Matipo Street, Christchurch, with the construction of a new state of the art Distribution Hub providing 5,000m2 of undercover loading area. Bascik’s transport division has emerged as the largest user of Kiwirail for transporting goods from Auckland to the South Island and the new Matipo St hub unloads and distributes goods from here to its other South Island hubs.

Constructed by Calder Stewart, the extended facility includes a warehouse with a 175mm thick post-tensioned floor slab over 4,800m2 designed by Contech.
