Erskine Building

The Erskine Building is home to the Maths and Science departments of the University of Canterbury. It consists of three 7 storey towers to the North and 4 storey building to the south, connected by a full height atrium in the middle.

Following the earthquakes of 2010 and 2011, the building suffered some cracking to the floor slabs, columns and beams.

BBR Contech injected the dry cracks with Sikadur 52 and sealed the wet cracks in the basement floor slab with polyurethane based resin. On the upper levels of the towers we also grout filled some new masonry walls.

To date we have only completed works to the three 7 storey towers to the North with work on the South side to follow in the near future.
