As part of a building fitout at Hawkins Christchurch office one precast panel wall was identified by engineers as requiring strengthening involving application of Sika Carbodur S614 vertical strips both sides of the wall and at 2 metre nominal centres.

Approximately 160 linear metres of Carbodur was applied as areas were made available with the last section applied in June 2013.

Four adhesion tests were also carried out to confirm the bond of the Carbodur to the prepared substrate met or exceeded Sika application requirements for the average tensile strength of the concrete of 2.0 N/mm².
