Originally constructed in 1982 the three-level inner city commercial/office building was stripped back to its concrete and steel frame and rebuilt to 100% of the new building code post earthquake.

BBR Contech was engaged by Hornit Ltd to strengthen 8 No. ground level concrete columns to full height with six layers of Sikawrap Hex 100G glass unidirectional fabric.

Remedial work carried out also included epoxy injection of cracks in concrete walls, columns and beams and polyurethane injection to close off water ingress to the lift shaft well.
