Jeffreys Road Pump Station

The purpose of the project was to replace the suction tank that was damaged by earthquakes in 2011 and upgrade existing infrastructure on site to provide long-term reliance of water supply to the local area.

The new tank was rectangular in shape being 15.1m x 10.9m with walls 4.3m high. 24 No. external perimeter panels with 70mm Drossbach ducts cast in allowed for installation of the the 48 No. Macalloy 1030 Grade 36mm bar tendons spaced vertically to allow tensioning at corners to a defined sequence.

After the panel infills were concreted and reached 30MPa the Macalloy tendons were tensioned to the specified  load and grouted.
