Originally constructed in 1982 the three-level inner city commercial/office building was stripped back to its concrete and steel frame and rebuilt to 100% of the new building code post earthquake.
The Moon Gate was constructed on the school site circa 1935. The Christchurch earthquake had caused minor damage to the wall and the current owners were keen to retain it as a link to the past.

A tight timeframe – and therefore the presence of a lot of other contractors on site – made this job a logistical challenge for the BBR Contech team. However, efficient planning and good relationships got it done on time, which means Cardinal Logistics is on track to move in soon to its new warehouse in Wiri.
